Very interesting paper but also very disappointing.
There is no mention, not even in passing, of the Maze procedure or of Dr Cox and his pioneering work.
This chauvinism detracts from the seriousness of the paper and is typical of the blatant censoring of Maze information, by EPs and Cardiologists, from patients under the guise of 'experimental' and 'not-proven' even though the Maze surgery produces far superior (98 percent) success rates than the 85 per cent quoted here.
The EPs and Cardiologists at CC are the only ones I have met that do not indulge in this kind of concealment.
