Carl,
I wonder, how somebody’s results go to the “rate of success of the modified Maze”.
After the modified maze they said that the surgery was a success and my husband was in NSR for 2 month.
Then the Fibrillation began, and later after ablation and cardioversion, he was in NSR again, and he was probably again in the success group.
3 month later the Fibrillation began again, this time we went to Uof M near my home and now my husband is in NSR (…not INR).
How do they calculate their success rate, taking into account such a case?Like you, I think that CCF has the best surgeons. Dr Cosgrove re-repaired my husbands mitral valve, even so the local cardiologists thought it will be impossible. I am so grateful to Dr Cosgrove of CCF, and the hospital.
