In trying to understand what are the issues that causes one to decide to be evaulated for the MAZE, for the medical staff to say yes you are a candidate and then for it to take place; what are the reasons?
Can from your collective readings of the many who have had the MAZE, is there say a 10 to 1 list.
Open heart surgery is a big step with risks, it can't just be that a person has afib, there are many thousands of us that do, yet the number that do have the MAZE is what, hundreds. Where is the cross over point of, this is an acceptable life with afib, or no this is not!
I'm still seaching to understand where that point is.
Thanks, Dan
