After reading the post by Ed I just had to jump in and say that I totally agree with everything that he said. Before my maze and at times between afib attacks I would try to forget that I had afib. I would think things like "maybe I'll be different and this will go away on its own". I would start to feel "happy" and then bang! I would be in afib again and my mood and attitude would take a nose dive. Again Ed, thanks for the great post. This web site has been and continues to be a wonderful resource. Without it I might still be pre maze and in chronic afib. I am now 6.5 mos post maze and have had no afib and am drug free. Life is good.
