As I have resonded to some of your replies, I have lone afib that is now almost cronic after five years of trying all the safe antiarrhythmic drug therapies with little and now no success. Now I just take a calcium channel blocker and warfarin. If I don't think about it the afib is just there with little affect on my fairly active livestyle, but I do know it and don't like it. I've thought about PVA and the MAZE, but it is hard to convince those around me that I really need to do something now. It's like asking George W. why now, and for me I really don't have good reasons to go under the knife, or needle right now.
