Hi All,
I am now three weeks post maze and mitral valve repair. My heart rate has been too rapid, although fairly regular (it's around 100-120). I'm presently on 200mg/day of amiodarone. Can anyone tell me if they've had a similar experience? How long does it take the heart to settle down to a more natural resting pulse? Should my dosage of amiodarone be increased? Does exercise help or hurt in terms of regulating heart rhythm in post-op maze patients?
