I think that an elevated heart rythm is fairly common after the Maze. But I'm not sure of HOW high above the previous NSR heart rate that is regarded as normal after the Maze. My own heart rate went from a 45-50 resting heart rate to approximately 90-95 after the Maze. For me, excercising has helped in lowering the heart rate (even though it's hard to compare what would have happened without the training effort of course...). More importantly though, excercising helps in regaining the overall strength and well-being. Good luck with your cont'd recovery.
