Maze and Mitral Valve Repair

This is my first posting. I had my maze procedure done by Dr. Mar Gillinov on 9/27/02 at the Cleveland Heart Clinic. I also had a mitral valve repair done by Dr. Deloes Gosgrove. I had open heart surgery. I wasn't in a-fib when I left but I am now. What has been the sucess rate for those with similar surgeries?
I 63 years old and an active cyclist some times up to 100 miles a day. Because of this my physical recovery was quite fast.
