Welcome to the Maze Alumni board Bill.

Sorry you slipped back into AF, but several on the board has had some AF after the surgery. This is something that is usually corrected in time, but it may need some attention.

Have you contacted the CC or you local cardiologist about this. There is different treatments done, which all depends on the individual involved and the attending cardiologist.

I would suggest to have your local cardiologist, (if he isn't familiar with post maze patients), to contact your doctor at the CC for a treatment plan. I would think they would want to convert you to NSR if they can, as soon as they can, and then proceed with some temporary medication to hold the NSR.

In most all cases it only take a little time to maintain a NSR. There are cases where they have to have a touch up ablation to get rid of the problem.
Anyway, I'm glad you found the board. For my information, had you read the board before your decision to have the maze, or who was the recommending physician.

You will probably get some more good information from some of the members who has been through the similar condition.

I never reverted to AF after my maze, so I have no first hand information, but only what I read here.
Best Wishes, and Prayers
