Bill, I started walking right after surgery and at about two weeks, I would run/walk. I did check with Dr. McCarthy and read what Dr. Cox had said on the subject. Somewhere in the old postings, you might find what I had to say as my memory is a little hazy on the subject. I do remember that I had to keep my heart rate below 120 bpm for something like the first six or eight weeks but you might want to get that time frame clarified. Maybe, Carl or someone remembers. After that I was fine to do whatever. Then I really picked up the running and never had a problem. You might be right on the chest thing and cycling. Again, Carl is a cyclist so he may know.
