New poster. Just found this site. I had a PVI ablation on 2/11/03. Doctor caused heart to bleed, resulting in a cardiac tamponade. Doctors were unable to treat the tamponade, and had to call in a thoracic
surgeon. By the time the surgeon arrived, I was going into arrest, which lasted several minutes. Chest was cut open. Heart was massaged and joules were administered to bring me back. 10 days were spent in recovery. Problems have included a paralyzed diaphragm, paranthetica in hips, blurred vision, lesions on vocal chords(which had to be surgically repaired. Currently looking to have procedure done again at another hospital.
