The ablation was performed at Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia by Dr. Maleki. My wife is an RN at another hospital, and we were promised, as a professional courtesy to her, that I would not be a guinea pig for this newer version of the PVI. As it turns out, as I was going under, I was told that I would help make Hahnemann history, being their 2nd patient for this type of procedure. Dr. Maleki was not the original doctor when we first consulted to do the ablation. She was brought in by Hahnemann from a hospital in New York. We did not know her background. We were uneducated consumers. I was steered to Hahnemann by the cardiologist group at my wife's hospital. Fortunately, I was saved by one of the top doctors in the U.S., Dr. Louis Samuels. I plan to have the re-do at the University of Pennsylvania by Dr. David Callans.
