Pete,

That is the scariest story I have every heard. You didn't deserve to be put through that misery.

Allow me to make a few comments for what they are worth:

I live in the Philadelphia area. Hahnemann is a Tenet hospital, I believe, and if it is, then it is to be avoided at all costs. You may have read how, last year, a heart surgeon at a Tenet hospital in Calif operated on many healthy hearts just to get the money.

I have had two ablations and one Maze. Personally, I think ablations are a horse's ass way to fix Atrial Fibrillation. It is like trying to fix the engine in your car by shoving a 20 foot rod up the exhaust pipe. But that's just my opinion.

My first ablation was at the University of Pennsylvania by two doctors in Dr Marchlinski's group. He was not present. They achieved absolutely nothing. I underwent a risky procedure and received zero benefit.

Then I discovered this board and, within a few months, I had a Maze at the Cleveland Clinic. I required a "touch-up ablation" 8 months later that completed the surgical cure. I am now off all meds and in continuous NSR at 70 bpm.

I strongly urge you to go to the Cleveland Clinic. There is NO COMPARISON between the CC and the U.Pa. BELIEVE ME!

I also urge you to get the Maze instead of another ablation attempt.

No one should receive the treatment that you got.

My best wishes to you,

Henry
