There are a couple new studies related to aspirin that were reported on the www.medscape.com site.
One indicated a very large difference between those taking 325 mg. aspirin and those taking the lower dose or those taking an enteric coated aspirin. Bottom line was the lower dose or enteric coating does not help as much in preventing stroke, etc.
Second was that taking aspirin in conjunction with Ibuprofen negates the effect of the aspirin as far as potential for stroke prevention. Something about the Ibuprofen cancels out some of the good effect of the aspirin when mixed with it.
