Saw my cardiologist today and he reviewed my last echo in detail. This was done 9 mos post maze and mitral valve repair from CC. He said my surgeon, Mccarthy did a great job. My mitral valve showed only a trace of regurgitation, which he said was as good as could be expected. My ejection fraction improved from 55% to 65% and it seemed my heart has become more flexible. He said we would have another echo in 6 mos and then go yearly if everything looked good. My cardio is the one who strongly recommended the maze, and I cannot thank him enough. Without him and this board my heart wold still be getting worse each year and I would still be on all kind of drugs. Now he said I could look forward to a normal life medication free. Thanks to everyone who supported me in my time of need, I feel like I have a new lease on life. God bless all of us and may we have continued NSR.---Jimmy Cull
