My cardiologist, Michael McDonald of Sutherland Clinic in Memphis, Was a friend of mine long before he became my cardiologist. He is 49 yrs old and is very fit, We met in the gym many years before I developed afib. From the beginning he mentioned the maze and said lets hope we don't have to go there. I had to see other doctors for TEE's and they all said I was crazy for even thinking about the maze. Well I am a little crazy as is McDonald. So when the time came McDonald said if I were You I would go have the maze. I contacted CC the next day. I guess I was very fortunate to have Mike Mcdonald as a friend.
