I suffer from extra beats every day. I have had an EKG-test done during excercise, a holter test and an ultra sound. They showed the extra beats and were diagnosed as normal and not dangerous. OK, good, I'm happy about that and I don't worry about the extra bumps.
BUT, about once an evening when at rest I get this strange feeling in the chest when the heart for no reason starts to beat in a totally strange rythm for about 5 seconds. The pulse rate stays normal (about 65 bpm) but it just doesn't stay in the normal rythm. This can also occur after sex when the heart is a little "excited" but also calmes down in 5 seconds. It doesn't include light-headedness, nausea or anything like that. It just feels terrible.
Does anyone else have this? Is there any idea what it is and if it is related to the rythm problems that I have anyway? Is this dangerous or should I just put my mind at rest? How can I help it to go away?
