Back on 9/27/02 I had a MVR and a Maze procedure at CC. I been in NSR since December 19th. My cardiologist has me on coumadin for six months after surgery (which will be 3/27/03) then wants to replace the coumadin with Plavix (75mg) for the rest of my life. Has anyone else who had a MVR and Maze and is now in NSR been told to take Plavix? Also I'm on propafenone (rythmol) 225mg/day. How long have other "mazers" been on propafenone?
