Bill, I had a mitral valve repair and a maze at the Mayo Clinic last May. I left the Clinic in junctional rhythm; at home I went into a-fib. I was cardioverted twice. After 6 months I was in (and remain in) sinus rhythm. For 3 months after the surgery I took amiodarone and coumadin, now only a baby aspirin.
