The last paragraph should state, "Bottom line, if you have A fib and are over age 60-65, even with an otherwise completely healthy heart, or if you are any age and have an additional cardiovascular abnormality, even mild hypertension or an "innocent" heart murmur, you should be on coumadin. You usually recover completely from a bleeding episode and they are uncommon if your INR is under 4. Strokes are generally irreversible and typically reduce overall quality of life and level of function longterm."
