Ablation vs Maze

I was wondering about the results of ablation re: mixed a-fib & a - flutter. Seems most recently I have more a- flutter than a- fib. I have talked with physicans and have gotten different ideas on this. One says ablation good for flutter and less so for a-fib. However, ablation may prevent need for Maze. I have noticed some comments re: the dangers of ablation and it having a less postivie effect than the Maze. Any ideas or comments would be welcome.
