TC: To many of us who have had successful mazes, the use of the words "much longer recovery time" is rather unimportant. When you are MUCH better off after the maze than before, a few days of significant discomfort (to some, but apparently not for Henry Alken, for example), followed by another period of insignificant discomfort (for most of us), all of which is usually masked by the endorphines released (MY tongue-in-cheek opinion) by the thrill of being cured
is what we experience.
I STILL have discomfort in my sternum area, which I attribute solely to the 2 sinus infections I had in the 2 1/2 months post maze, which caused very severe coughing and subsequent straining of the wires holding the sternum together. I expect I will ask for the wires to be removed (as did Jack Drum) if I continue to be aware of them next Spring.
