Frank,I read your posting. I am sure you feel wonderful now with the afib behind you.That's where I'd like to find my a-fib.But to go all out, and tell the readers "call me and I will convince you that you really do want to go through with the operation, take the advice offered on this list and go have it done"is not fair to the ones considering it. I had it done by Dr.Cox,it didn't work. I have spoken with another young man who had a stroke on the operating table during his maze. It is not a picnic in the park, especially if it doesn't work. I know there is no guarantees, but I would hesitate to encourage anyone to go through this, and expect a new life like you have been blessed with, for the depression of failure is bitter sweet.
I still use the board to search and hope for another avenue to cure me of this horrid condition. Jack, please understand that my peace of mind sometimes comes through with "speaking my mind." Never give up hope, I haven't.
