Looks like there is a new kid on the block. I have been reading messages on this board for about the past 2 months and decided to give it a shot. Prelim. appts. scheduled at the CC beginning Oct.2-4 and I assume surgery a day or so later depending on scheduling. I have tried all the drugs available without success, including the pacemaker route early in the game. NOthing worked. Most of my questions have been addressed on this board and I wish to thank you all. As a sidelight, I have been battling with my primary care physician who refused to refer me because CC is out of the area of my HMO. My request for an expedited appeal was refused but HMO says it has neither been approved nor denied. They notified me this morning that normal appeals channels take several weeks. Since I don't have the time to continue with appeals, I was forced to opt-out of the HMO and go with Medicare. Has anyone experienced the same problems with their HMO. I'm curious to know even though it is too late for me to continue the battle. Thanks to everyone for all their help. I didn't post earlier pending the decision on insurance. WLL
