I actually hadn't thought about writing to the President or CEO of Aetna US Healthcare, my HMO, but I did tell my "case manager" with Aetna, how great the maze was for me and Aetna, since I probably would have had more expensive procedures had I continued with the drugs. She was soooo excited to talk with someone who had undergone the maze. She had been involved with others, but had never learned how they did. Her enthusiasm and excitement made me feel as though she really enjoyed knowing the outcome of procedures. We should all take the time to remind our carriers of how pleased we are, and perhaps suggest in a subtle manner, that they may have saved money in the long haul. I imagine few insurance carriers hear much in the way of thanks, and it might help to boost their spirits in light of current events. Thanks, Ed.
