Post Maze Question

I had my maze done three weeks ago yesterday. All went
well for 12 days, then I had a 45 minute afib episode.
Since I was told this was possible during recuperation,
I didn't worry too much about it. However, the next
day I went into afib and haven't come out since. This
makes day 9 of a chronic afib episode.
Has anyone else had any experience with this type of
episode after surgery? I'm expecting to be hospitalized
and cardioverted today. Hopefully this time the
cardioversion will correct the situation - my only prior
experience with it was prior to surgery and was not
successful. This chronic stuff leaves me feeling so
bad I can't even walk from the front to the back of the
house without a heart pounding that hurts the incision
and makes my head shake.
