I Bounced in and out of afib for 3 months after my surgery. No drugs would control it. I felt just like I did before the surgery. Then in the middle of the 3rd month I was put on amioderone. I converted for a week then out for a week. They wnated to cardiovert me and I refused. I figured I would probably bounce back out again. I had an ablation and woke up just in time to be cardioverted, boy does that smart. Needless to say I decided I was not going to go through that again if I could help it. The next time I converted back, I stayed for a week and had the doctor take me off of all drugs. I have been in NSR with no problems ever since. Hang in there, everyone has a different experiance in healing from this operation. some people have no problems at all , and some just take time to heal. I still have numbness in my leg(skin, from the bypass) and in the skin of my right chest. Hope everything works out.
