I have had a-fib for over 10 years.I will be 61 at the end of this month,and I am in good health otherwise. Have run the gamut
of meds, none really have been effective in controlling
my episodes, In the beginning they would come once a week for about 24 hrs. Now they last anyware from 72 to 150 hrs at a time. In Jan. I had an a-flutter ablation, within 48 hrs I was in a-fib. I am having a heart cath done this fri.(21st)in preperation for the Maze. Dr. Edmond Owen in Memphis will do the procedure, my EP tells me he is an excelent surgeon, he has done 19 maze procedures ( all successful ) If anyone has any info for me it will be greatly appreciated.
I'm so thankful for this web site, it has helped me to make a very difficult dicision. I'm looking forward to permanent nsr, and no meds.
