Good luck with your heart cath and maze. I, like you also had ablation for a-flutter. The first time my flutter kicked in 3 days after the ablation. That afternoon I had ablation again for the a-flutter. I never had flutter again, but like you I then started having afib instead! It seems that happens very often from what I’ve read. It will be one year ago on the 29th of March that I had the Maze at the CC by Dr. McCarthy. I am thankful every single day that I had the maze. I keep meaning to write a thank you letter to McCarthy and Hammer but never seem to get around to it. I went jogging this morning. Afterwards, I sat at Starbucks and just felt plain thankful to be in NSR. The maze will be behind you in a short time. Don’t freak out if you have some flutter after the Maze. I went into flutter about 6 days after the maze. They put me on Rythmol and Toprol for 3 mos. After the three mos., I came off both drugs and have been free of the afib and flutter since my attack one week after the maze. Again, best of luck. Keep us posted.

Tim
