Good luck with surgery. My husband Michael has been in a-fib for over 10 years at age 37. He now has a bit of cardiomyopathy. He will be having surgery in Boston by Dr. Gus Vlahakes. He will have surgery on May 1st. I hope a bit sooner. I thank this site for information and support. It has been tough to have the Doctors agree with having the Maze. Mike has failed medications and we do not want a PVI or a pacer. So we look forward to the Maze and an a-fib free life. We cross our fingers. Good luck all.
