I'm getting a second opinon the last week of this month with a different cardiologist.I look back and think I probably had a-fib for years, yet 8 months ago it was a" stop what I was doing and get to the doctor".The ekg said I was in A-fib,was cardioverted into nsr on the first try but a 2 week follow up ekg said I was back in a-fib.I'm taking 100mg of lopressor 2 times a day, and digoxin .25mg,verapamil 260sr,coumadin 4mg all once a day.My cardiologist said to live with it as proceedures were a few years off.Even with the medications moderate exercise elevates my heartrate above 200.As I have done construction work, heavy labor etc.,I am currently on state disability which runs out in a few months,do you ever get used to the meds/side effects? I'm concerned about long term use of all these meds.Anyway, thanks in advance for anyone sharing thoughts.I'm 55, male and again thanks for this board!
Larry
