The cure is not a few years off, it's now...but not at hospitals who don't have a lot of experience doing Ablations and Maze. Larry!....do NOT feel like you are "wimping" out or something, by not likeing, or wanting to live with the spector of Afib hanging over your shoulder. I've lived with it for years, and it wasn't untill the last two years, that I started reading what % increase it is to live with it for getting stroke, and sudden death.
Living on meds will always be a balancing act, so if insurance is better right now than it will be in three months, i'd get the ball rolling. Good luck on finding a good doc.
