I'll make this short as I have nothing new to report. In a sense that says it all. I've kept my old drugs just to remind me of what it used to be like before my Januray 2001 maze at CC. Today, out goes the amiodarone, tambacor, sotolol, lanoxin and coumidin. As I did pre-AFib, I run, play tennis, backpack and enjoy my seven year old daughter. I spoke to Carl for about an hour on the phone this morning as he had his maze shortly after mine and we certainly shared many of the same feelings and experiences. It was fun to think about how it was pre-maze, how fortunate we were to run into Jack Drum and this website, and recall all of those early mazers who helped fill us in on what the procedure was all about and what life could be without AFib. I am excited to see the advances being made in cures for AFib and it is always so heartening to read the posts of others who have now been cured and are back living a normal life. My respect for people like Dr. Cox and Dr. McCarthy is unending and I continue to be amazed by the accessibility of both doctors as well as the staff at CC. Finally, I will always enjoy the input from everyone who posts here but I look back with great repect on what Steve Giddings and Anders have had to say. My best to all and if I can help anyone, please feel free to email me directly.
