I am also one of the mid January cases from two years ago. I meet Mike Johnson at CC and meet Carl and Ed through the board. I have been in NSR for 20 months. It took 4 months (April) for my operation to take hold. Since then there has been no going back. I threw out all my drugs by the end of May. I am taking no medication at this time. One fact I wanted to point out is how I came off my drugs. Short story, promise. After being 3 1/2 months post surgery I went to my EP specialist to talk about drug choices. I was on amiodirone (sp) and having some un-kind side effects, hair falling out. I also felt that the rhythms I had been experiencing over the last month felt somewhat different. Some of the drugs can actually induce afib like rhythms. I was bouncing in and out of NSR for a week at a time. I talked the EP into letting me stop the drugs the next time I was in NSR.
Long story short, I never have been out of NSR again since stopping all medication.
I would like to thank the people on this board for helping through some rough times.
Thanks.
