As requested in the introduction to the board

Dr. Irvin Krukenkamp
State University of New York at Stony Brook Hospital.
Procedure performed June 17, 2002
Microwave Maze operation
CABG X2
Mitral Valve Replacement

For the first 60 to 90 days my Atrial Fibrillation persisted. on September 17th, 90 days to the day, the the Atrial Fibrillation seemed to stop. I have had 3 occurances since then but it seems to be a different irregular beat. I have not been back to the Dr. during the irregular beat but it hasn't lasted more then 24 hours.
I do have a double beat when I lay down at night. Not sure what that means. It's not painful but I can feel it. The Double beat usually lasts a few minutes and then goes back to normal. It may start again but lasts less time. It may go 2 or 3 times before I settle into a normal beat.
The Surgeon was excellent and the care in the hospital was great. Even the food was good until the Dietitan(SP) showed up and put me on a low salt low fat low taste diet.
Thanks for listening.
