Thanks for the prayers. I mis-spoke when I said Dr. Krukenkamp did the Maze. Dr Saltman did the Microwave Maze Operation. Dr. K did the Valve Replacement and the Bypasses. After the Operation I was Cardioverted several times unsuccessfully and went home still in Atrial Fib. Over the next 90 days I spent 95% of it Atrial Fib. After 90 days I spent a wonderful 30 days in Sinus and then 1 day in Afib. Since then I have been in an irregular beat for about 30 to 35 hours total. I'm not sure if the irregular beat is Afib, I do know it feels different then it used to.
Is there any discussion on this board about medications? Do Dr's ever stop medications after a successful maze? I am on 3 Heart regulating Medications and wonder why if the operation was successful I still need them.Howard
