Howard: We're glad to have you posting. If you read some of the older posts, you will find that you are not alone in having some "odd" beats after heart surgery like the maze, a valve replacement, or similar procedures. Many of us have had doctors leave us on one or more of the anti-arrhythmic drugs for several weeks. Many of these drugs have side effects of "irregular heartbeat", etc. You might ask your doctor to try weaning you off these drugs to see if you feel even better. I believe many or most of us have found that we felt considerably better when all of these drugs were discontinued.
