I am currently being treated by cardiologists at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. I have been in AFib five times since 1997 at which time I experienced a mild heart attack that left some mild scarring. I am 59 years old and have been Scuba Diving since 1994. It is a profound love and very important activity for me.I was devasted when my cardiologist ordered me to stop diving as he did not want to risk hemmoraging from my Coumidan regimen.I presume from reading several postings, my epidoses and four cardioversions are mild compared to others who contribute to this posting. However, as I read this, I am in Afib and will await consultation from an ablation and heavy drug specialist at the CCF.Now, I will have one more option to consider: the Maze Procedure. Are there any Scuba divers out there who resumed diving AFTER their Maze procedure? I would appreciate a response from any divers out there. Thank you for your kind consideration.
