My First Setback

I was discharged on Maze +5 after spending 5 nights in the Cleveland Clinic all in NSR. The only recorded electrical problems were PVCs. My rate was in the 70 on discharge and I was aware that it would probably get a bit higher after the Maze based on what I've read on the Maze Alumni site. My wife and I left with a positive attitude and the world looked bright. We then spent 2 nights at the Guest House. On the second morning at about 7:40 I went back into Afib/Aflutter for the first time. I didn't have any beta-blockers in my system and the rate got very high. I put on my trusty Polar S810 and saw rates running from the 140s into the 180s. I sat there in shock before I realized that my only option was a quick trip to the CC emergency room. I walked down he hall to the elevator very slowly. I was asymptomatic still but very afraid of the high rate since I was only Maze +7. I was put on IV beta-blockers to get the rate down from 200. The rate quickly came down but I was still going from flutter to afib and back. Cardioversion was scheduled for late afternoon. After 12 hours in afib and just before cardioversion, a rhythm change was noted. Lisa (the wonderful Nurse specialist for Dr McCarthy) came by to check. She rubbed my carotid artery while looking at the heart monitor. She determined that I was having some NSR with small P waves, but also some sinus arrhythmia. She called McCarthy and cardioversion was cancelled. By this time I was also on Rythmol. I now seemed to be in sinus arrhythmia and the R to R rates were no longer constant as they had been prior to going into afib. I also no longer showed PVCs. I think what I saw was just lots of PACs just like I use to have. I was discharged after one night in the hospital to return to the Guest House. I am now on the following drugs:

Coumadim
Rythmol
Tropol X-L
Nexium
Aldactone

Does this look sort of standard? As of now, I seem to be in NSR with several PACs from time to time.
