Whenever I meet a new Cardiologist, the first thing I say to him is:
"I will never, ever take Amiodarone. I will prefer the Afib"

As you probably know, Amiodarone can damage the Thyroid, the Lungs and the Eyes. It is bad enough having Afib without getting those kinds of injuries.

Try and get off of the Amiodarone if you possibly can. It is a case where the cure is worse than the disease.

The cardiologist at Cleveland Clinic, Dr Hammer, was talking to me about a new drug called Tikosyn. He seemed to think it was a good one.

Three months until your next cardio visit seems very long when you are on Amiodarone.
