I was also tried on Tikosin. Started in the hospital, but by the second dose ... my QT was waaayyyy too long. Also, I was told that if you miss a dose, you have to be put back in the hospital to be "re-started" so to speak.
I do know of a couple gals who are on it and have had complete success and no side-effects to speak of - and it has controlled their AF very well. I'm sure they would be happy to share their experiences with Tikosin -- if you would like to "chat" with them, they are on the AFib board: AFIBsupport@yahoogroups.com. My experience is pretty limited, but Ellen (the moderator - also been on Tikosin for almost 2 years) has a lot of knowledge and many months of experience ... I know she would be more than happy to share.
