I would like to echo what Dave Funderburg said.....It will take longer and it may be a bit uncomfortable for you. When I was in Cleveland for my Maze last year, they suggested that we stop every hour to allow me time to stretch and walk. The walking is key to prevent excess fluid retention especially in your ankles. Allow about 30 to 60 minutes for each stop. I did opt to fly home (to Newark Airport), but that is a moot point these days.
In any event, good luck. Dr. McCarthy is the BEST there is. Tell him that all of us Cleveland MAZERS say HI.
