My husband is 47 yrs old and has had "known" A-fib for
2 yrs. He has very strong work ethics and works at home and work nonstop. He continues to push himself.

We have been on a roller coaster ride for the 2 yrs now. He has not responded to medicines or cardioversions. He was admitted to the hospital to
administer a new medicine called Tekysin, with no response.

He has just completed 3 weeks vacation time and during that time he went into NSR for 1 week on his own, and
has been out of rhythm since that wonderful week. He did not realize how much better he would feel in NSR
until this happened. I feel the additional rest he obtained while on vacation played a part, but he does not.

We continue to read your articles about the Maze procedure and we were excited today to read about Jack
Funderburg results and the fact that his surgeon is fairly close to us.

Our cardiologist feels that there is too great of a risk to consider the Maze Procedure.

He has been on Coumadin for the entire 2 yrs and
recently-Ziac for heart rate.

We continually listen to his heart and remain on this
roller coaster of trying to figure things out.

Please help- any responses welcome.

Please note-respond to our daughter's email address above.
