Jackie, I would just like to say that Ed has expressed what most everyone who has had the maze, feels about AF compared to the maze results. As anything else, there are a few exceptions to the norm, but you can tell by the postings of everyone that the vast majority feels good about the maze.
I'm sure Dave Funderburg would answer any questions he could for you. I don't think where Dave had his maze is one of the hospitals that specializes in the Maze procedure, but where I had my maze was not either, and I had excellent results, and nothing but praise for my surgeon and hospital. I feel that most any of the surgeons that are doing the Maze are all from the top of the class, and are mostly very caring people.
