I would like to ask the readers of this board if depression is part of the Afib picture for them?
Ever since I fainted at work and found myself on the floor, one month ago, from the effect of the drugs, I have been forced to acknowledge that my life is revolving around Afib and the drugs I have to take to cope with it. Other things in my life are relegated to second place.
On top of all this is the spectre of maybe having to have a MAZE procedure in order to prevent cardiomyopathy in the future.
I find that I feel quite depressed by the whole thing and get very little joy out of life anymore. I have read in the PDR that the drugs themselves cause apathy and depression.
Have any of you folks experienced this kind of thing, or is this my own personal problem?
