After being in chronic A-fib for the past few years I changed Doctors and he has succesfully cardioverted me. I now take Rythmol to remain in rthym. As most of you know this drug has its side affects. I am scheduled to meet with him on the 23rd to discuss my options. One of the options is an ablation that he says has a 60% success rate. He much prefers this to the maze surgey because he believes it to be less risky. When I mentioned the maze surgey he looked at me like I was crazy. I'm not sure if I want to do a procedure that is only 60% sucessful. Has anyone out there have any expierence with an ablation that can advise me.
Thanks
Mike
