Mike, I think ablation success rate is coming up as new technologies come into use, but I still don't believe it is in the 60% range. I would sure do as much reading on the message boards as I could find.
I never tried the ablation route, but had the maze in 98, and it was a complete cure.
I would take time to study and learn as much as you can before making a decision.
There is a lot of information in the Articles and studies at the top of the page, also from the members input, and also other message boards.
I think anyone can live easier with a informed decision, compared to one directed by a doctor that you are not familiar, or comfortable with.
