5YRs Post Maze

On January 15, 1999 I had the Maze procedure performed by Dr. James Cox at Georgetown University Medical Center. It is now five years post-maze and I am still in a normal sinus rhythym and no meds of any kind. I am truly thankful for Dr. Cox and all the wonderful people who took care of me. I was tough for a few months, but it was well worth the stress and discomfort. I am finally a normal human being again. For all of those who are suffering this malise, I wish you the courage to face it head on and get cured. Do your homework and know what you have before you, then step through the door. I did and haven't looked back nor doubted my decision. I wish God's blessings on all of you and your families.
