Chris,Barb and Carl thank you for your comments.
Carl I was off the amiodorone for two months.The AF started quite soon after I stopped taking the tablets.I am now taking 200mg per day.I am not sure if this is a large or small amount to be taking as I seem to be getting very little information from my surgeon (my next appointment is not until August 2004,NHS cutbacks). I do not seem to have any side effects at the moment and I am now back Running,cycling and for the first time in years swimming and so it is not all bad news.
Merry Christmas one and all.
I just remember back to before the operation and how bad I was feeling compared with how I am today and I realise how lucky I have been to get this far.
