As a fellow Limey living in beautiful Pennsylvania, I am well aware of the short-comings of the N.H.S.
I hope your doctor has warned you of the serious possible side effects of Amiodarone. They are so serious that over the 6 years I had Afib I absolutely refused to take the stuff.
It is necessary to check for various organ damage while taking it, by regularly having certain tests done. If a test is negative, it is important to stop the Amiodarone immediately.
Carl and Steve are experts in this area, so if this is all new to you, I strongly suggest you contact them for info.
